Information You Provide
- Apple ID Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (if you choose to share it). This is used to identify your account and attribute your community contributions.
- User-Created Content: Drop timestamps and custom drop mixes you create are stored locally on your device.
- Community Contributions: If you choose to share drops with the community, your display name and the drop data are stored in our cloud database.
Information Collected Automatically
- Music Library Access: With your permission, we access your Apple Music library to display your playlists, albums, and songs within the App. This data is processed locally and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Playback Information: Current track, playback position, and playback state are used locally to provide the drop detection and playback features.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect contacts or address book information
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services
- We do not collect health or fitness data
- We do not access your camera or microphone
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's functionality
- Enable music playback and drop detection features through Apple Music integration
- Allow you to save and manage your custom drops and drop mixes
- Enable community features, including sharing and discovering drops created by other users
- Attribute community contributions to your display name
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following services:
Apple Services
- Apple Music: Used to access your music library and enable playback. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Sign in with Apple: Used for secure authentication. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- iCloud (CloudKit): Used to store and sync community drops. Data is stored securely on Apple's servers.
Spotify (Optional)
If you choose to connect your Spotify account, we use the Spotify Web API to access your playlists and enable playback control. We store your Spotify access tokens securely in your device's Keychain. This integration is subject to Spotify's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Your personal drops and drop mixes are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to external servers unless you choose to share them with the community.
- Secure Authentication: Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain.
- Community Data: Shared drops are stored in Apple's CloudKit infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security and encryption.
Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear the data manually. Community contributions remain in the shared database unless you request their removal. You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: Request information about what personal data we have about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and community contributions.
- Withdraw Consent: Revoke access to your Apple Music library or disconnect your Spotify account at any time through your device settings.
- Opt Out: Choose not to share drops with the community by keeping them local only.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
